RECORD PRICES REACH ED.
GOOD NEWS FOR FARMERS. Received 10.30. LONDON, Nov 13. At the Wool Sales for .Home consumption, 97,000 were sold for export 6000, and 9000 were held over. The sales closed the highest of tSe series. There was keenest competition for slipes and scoureds throughout the sales. The selection of merinos was small and but hardened steadily, all closing at from 10 to 15 per cent, above the September series, and surpassed all records. FineC crossbreds were 10 per cent, above September: medium coarse, fully 15 per cent. Scoureds were unusually strong in demand, and were 15 per cent, higher. All fine slipes were from 3?.d to 2d higher; medium, 3d; low and inferior, 2d; merino lambs from 10 to 15 per cent; crossbreds, 2d. Carnagh. was top at 221 d. The average was
Lead imports amounted to 11.780; exports 23,380. The Board of Trade, through Mr. Massey, has purchased 1500 carcases of New Zealand pork.
