The extraordinary career of a noy adventurer was described at West-' minster Police Court the other day. Aged only 16 years and two months, he ran away from school and enlisted in the Field Artillery, making a false declaration as to age. He deserted twice, and joined other regiments. Last July he was charged at Bow Street with robbery, and when handed over to\ military escort -he escaped. Making tne acquaintance at Brixton of a sapper who had an officer brother, he stole the latter's uniform from lodgings. Then, ,having dressed -himself in it, this impostor of 16 stayed at the officers' hut in Grosvcnor Place and sauntered about Victoria, receiving salutes.
