WOMEN'S WORKING CLUB.
Sir, —I -would be glad if you will kindly publish, my letter in the interests of the Women’s Working Club, (also Red Cross Society. I want to let the public know that our object in taking a shop for Ihe use and convenience of the Club is to obtain funds to carry on our work as in the past, which is more needed now than ever, and it also allows the public the op portunity of assisting both the T.W.W. C. and Red Cross. There are many mothers and relations who are giving at present, and think it is all for the one cause, but it must be distinctly understood there are two separate funds, and the one is as much needed as the other. We cater for the bi>ys in the field and trenches, and the Reel Cross for their noble work, hospitals. Thus all will be able to help where they feel inclined, or as they ought to help us both. We, as a band of women wish to do our duty and would liKe all others to do the same. I once again ask the women of Taihape to come forward and help us to help tne boys in the field and hospital. Do not give up any good work they are already doing to help ns, but try and do both. The Club has sent away a great number of parcels, and is anxious to continue, and unless we get liberal support we cannot do so. Our need is great. Thanking you for the generous help your paper has been to us.—l am, etc., ORPHA L. SHUTE, President.
