TAIHAPE TENNIS CLUB.
The official opening of the Taihapo Tennis Club will take place at 3 p.m. on Thursday next. All members, intending members, their friends and visiting players are cordially invited to be present. The courts are in good order, and a prosperous season is assuued. The club has been fortunate in having its membership ranks swelled by the accession of a number of new players. The committee will welcome new recruits, an<T be pleased to teach them the rudiments of the game. Play is now in full swing, and the few hours of daylight after the daily work is being availed of by players to indulge in the popular pastime. Keener enthusiasts play the early morning game. Dr E. C. Barnett, who is still a vicepresident, has sent along a donation of £1 Is to the club.
