SWEDEN & ENGLAND.
CONCILIATORY STATEMENT BY SWEDISH FOREIGN MINISTER. LONDON, Oct 30. The “Daily Chronicle’s ” representative at Stockholm, after an interview with M. Wallenberg, Foreign Minister, says he discerns signs of a probable change of policy regarding the agreement with Britain .as to imports and exports. The Minister / said the Swedes had most friendly feelings to wards England, and complained of our failure to trust Sweden to study her interests. He hoped they had now arrived at a point when all difficulties would be cleared up. Sweden could not be forced or dominated. As instancing her friendly intentions, he said Parliament hati voted without discussion money to establish a dairy steamship service with England after the w'ar. It was impossible for Sweden to break with Germany, who supplied goods which were not obtainable from England. The whole of war mat erial Sweden senjt to Germany was insufficient to prolong the war for a single day. Many Swedish industries were suifering, owing to the inability to secure copra.
