LONDON WOOL SALES.

Dalgety and Company, report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 26th instant: Wool sales continue; keen, competition as compared with September close. Greasy merinos good, and medium 5 p.e. to 71 p.e.; faulty par to 5 p.c.; Scoured good 24 p.c. to 5 p.e.; mediuqi and faulty 5 p.c. dearer; crossbreds grqpsy and scoured fine 74 p.c.; medium.and coarse 5 p.c.; faulty 5 p.e. dearpr; slipes slightly dearer; sheepskins 3050 bales offered,, practically all sold. Moderate attendance, father irregular competition as compared with September. Average quotations: merino combing -Id; clothing :}d dearer; crossbreds combing and lambs unchanged; clothing -Id dearer. We held our usual fortnightly sale of sheepskins, hides and tallow, oddments of wool, etc., to-day. Buyers were in full attendance, and competition was keen for all produce offered. The high prees ruling at last sale were well maintained. Quotations: SHEEPSKINS. Half bred 13d to 131 d, fine xbred 13d to 13id, med. coarse xbred lid to 13|d, short to iwool 7id to 12d dead and damaged xbred 8d to Hid, inf. and badly damaged Id to Bd, lambs Hid, damp, salted and green 5s to 17/6, pelts 2§d to lambs salted 3s, 3/3, 3/6, 4s. Ox heavy lid to 12id, medium lid. to 124 d, light lid to ll§d, cow heavy Hid, "med. ll£d to Hid, light 10id to Hid, cut, slippy and inf. 6|d to 10d, bull, stag Bd, yearlings 9id to Hid, calf sup. 12L to 13gd, med. good lid to 12ld, damaged 6d to 9id. TALLOW. In tins, etc., 21/6 to 29/6. SUNDRIES. Opossum skins, 1/3 to 3s; horsehair, 1/2; cow tails. Is. Our next fortnightly sale takes place on Friday, November 10, and our first main wool sale on November 15.
