A curious case is interesting the doctors at a military hospital near Loudon. A man who has been stricken dumb has - been made to speak under an anaesthetic, but efforts to induce speech as the ether ceases to have effect have so far failed. The doctors, too, are somewhat puzzled as to whether the man has any recollection of talking during the experiment, for on “coining round” once he replied to the doctor’s continued questions by knocking him down.
