RED CROSS DAY.
The committee which is organising tlie function to be held on Labour Day, for the purpose of raising funds for the JJcd Cross Society in London, is meeting with great encouragement, and everything points to a most successful day being held. Following is a list of the special prizes donated:— For best decorated motor car: Two patent mats donated by Mr Nicholls. For best decorated perambulator: trophy valued at £1 Is, Collinson and Gilford.
• For best decorated bicycle: Trophy valued at £1 Is, Mr Emerson For best decorated tradesman's cart: Trophy valued at £1 Is, Mr Todd Fon best child's exhibit: Trophy valued at 10s Gd, Mr Studholme, and trophy, Mr Shanlej'. Best fancy costume: Trophy £1 Is, Mis McKinnon For best humourous costume: Trophy, £1 10s, Mr Studholme For decorated animal: Trophy, £1 10s Mr Bond Industrial exhibit: Trophy £1 Is, Mr Studholme. Best baby: Trophy, silver mug, Mr J. A. Joblin. Best exhibit in procession: £2 2s, Mr J. F. Studholme. Best Lady's exhibit: £1 Is, Mr E. Davies.
