NEW ZEALAND REVENUE.

RECEIPTS AND EXPENDITURE! PAST SIX MONTHS. AUCKLAND, this day. The Hon. Mr. Myers, Acting Minister of Finance, states that the total ordinary revenue for six months ended September 30 amounted to £6,349, 627, against £5,456,500 in the corresponding six months of the preceding year. The difference in favour of the current year, £893,127, is ascrinecr partly to additional taxation, and partly to buoyancy of revenue, due to the continuance of commercial and industrial prosperity. Expenditure from the consolidated fund for six months was £6,256,903, against £5,930,419 for the corresponding six months of the previous year. The increase of £318,484 is accounted for wholly by war bonuses and increased payments for interest and sinking fund.

The excess of revenue over expenditure in the first half of the year amounted to £02,724.
