THE THOROUGHBRED “BANDSMAN.”
As this huge district is opened for settlement year by year, there must come an increased demand for good horseflesh, and with this in view and to enable the breeding of the best class of coach and saddle horse, Mr F. Tattersall is this year placing at the disposal of breeders , that splendid thoroguhbred ‘ ‘ Bandsman, a son of the famous Hotchkiss, who was a son of the still more famousI—truly 1 —truly worldfamous—Musket. On his mother’s side “Bandsman’’ carries blood no less remarkable, Kate Godfrey is a daughter of that great horse St_ Lcger, and Welcome Kate, who being a daughter of Musket, gives “Bandsman” a double strain of that mighty horse’s blood. Although a high-spirited horse, he has that quiet, contented disopsition so commonly characteristic of the Masked breed,, and is absolutely free from all vice. “Bandsman” may be seen at Kelly’s stables, Taihape, his headqartors during the season, and Mr Tattersa.ll, his owner, can be communicated with at the same address.
