SUDDEN DEATH.
Yesterday morning a man named Edwara Leahy, who was employed on a bush-falling contract on Mr C. McDonnell's property at Turangarere, was found dead in bed. It appears that Messrs. McDonnell and Laurenson went out to the bush camp on Sunday preparatory to doing some work amongst the stock. On Sunday night Leahy appeared to be in his usual health.
In the morning Mr McDonnell was up and about at six o'clock, and went to call Leahy, but failed to waken him. and it was found that he was dead. The body was broug-ht into Taihape last evening, and in all probability an inquest will be held this afternoon. Deceased, who was a married man with a grown-up family, was very well known here, and his demise came as a shock to the large circle of his friends. The funeral will leave the Taihape Hospital at 2 p.m. to-morrow for the Taihape Cemetery.
