SPRING MEETING. WANGANUI, This Day. The AVangauui Jockey Club Spring Meeting opened to-day, in beautiful weather; There is a large attendance, and the track is in good order. Results: — Flying Handicap.—Chakwana I, Miacara 2, Panmure 3. All started. AY on by half a length, third horse a length and a half away. Time, Imin 14 4-sscc. Maiden Handicap.—Wrestler 1, Carmel Arch 2, Wapping 3. Scratched: Madam Ristori, Rio, Spleudant. Won easily, by two lengths. Time, Imin 14 2-ssec.
Guineas. —Bjorneborg 1, Sweet Tipperary 2, Elation 3. Scratched: Wrestler. Won by a length. Time, Imin 43 4-ssec.
