THE CAPTURE OF HALICZ.
GOOD NEWS IF TRUE. NEW YORK, Sept. 15. The Petrograd correspondent of the “Chicago Daily News” cables that Cherbatchey’s army captured Halicz, after twelve day’s fighting. The report adds: The Russians steadily shel led Halicz at short range and fired por tion of the town. Many prisoners were taken, including Turks. The report is unconfirmed by other sources.
