COPPER DISCOVERIES.
BY THE STEFANSQN EXPEDITION. NEW YORK, Sept. 12. The southern party of the Stefanson expedition have arrived at Seattle. Dr Anderson says that begging and pil ferinjgi was more prevalent than when he last visited the natives. O’Neill the geologist regards the copper discoveries encouraging deposits. In Bathurst Inlet the low grade ore is favourable to mining), but transportation is a great problem. He paid tribute to valuable work done by Jenness.
