NEW PICTURE FILM CONTROL.

OPENING IN TAIKAPE. TO BE CALLED EVERYBODY 'S. A new picture show, to be called "Everybody's." is to be started in the Town Hall at an early date, the hall having been loosed -by Mr Roderic MacCallum, of Wellington. Mr MacCallum has been prominently associated with picture management for the last ten years, both in Australia and New Zealand, having been manager of the Dutton Park Garden Theatre, Brisbane (the first open-air theare in Queensland). This theatre' proved a great success, as many as 8000 people having been present at the time. Mr MacCallum has also managed the West Olympia Theatne, Brisbane, and the New York and Imperial Theatres, .Sydney. In November he is opening in Wellington what is said to be the largest and most modern theatre in the Dominion. The new place is in- Cuba Street, and will be known as the Queen 's. Mr MacCallum advises that he is also the sole New Zealand representative for some of the most prominent picture film companies in the world, including the famous Players, featuring such well-known favourites as Mary Pickfoi-d and Marguerite Clark; the Metro Film Co., featuring Olga, Petrova, and Mary Minter; Essanay, featuring Charlie. Chaplin; World's Film, featuring Robert Warwick and Clara Kimball Young. In addition he also* holds agencies for other companies of lesser degree. With Mr MacCallum's position in the film World and experience in managing theatres, Taihape should be well catered for in this class of New and complete machindry, -similar <fo that which is to be installed at the Queen's, Wellington, will be installed at the Town Hall.
