A FOOLISH WOMAN.

A young woman charged at Maidenhead with communicating with the enemy by dropping her card containing

her name and address into the camp for German officer prisoners at Holyport, was stated subsequently to have received a letter from one of the prisoners containing a photograph of a group of prisoners, including a portrait of himself. She was remandee, the Magistrate remarking that if she could produce evidence to show that it was a “silly freak,” it would be advisable for her to do so.
