A City Editor states there is no reason to suppose the Government contemplates control of colonial wools, but there will be some* control ivhich will probably affect prices. TRADES UNION CONGRESS. LABOUR AND EXPLOITERS CONTRASTED. (Received 9.10) LONDON, Sept. 5. A Trades Union Congess is being held at Birmingham. Gosling presiding, welcomed American, Canadian, French and Belgian delejg(ates. He contrasted the patriotism of workers with that of food exploiters, and demandedl' the creation of a ministry of labour, old age pension limit reduced to 60, and the pension increased to ten shillings.
