1 J We ; Capill Ur: b.av mg done.all'our cartipig, free of charge Mr W rfoader V has kindly supplied many numbers of an English Mustrater paper, which are. for. sale at the Red Cross Shop. He also gave a German forage cap for exhibition and sale.' It was taken by a British foldier, and is the real thing.
During Mrs Emerson's absence on Wednesday, Mrs Savill kindly took charge of the shop, and has signified her willingtness to do so on Saturday. Offers of similar help to relieve Mrs Emerson will be very welcome. It mdst be patent to all the district what a lot of time, energy and money Mrs Emerson has given to this venture. To Mrs Bason a word of praise is due. Other workers expect to be publiclv thanked for their gifts and labours, and surely to these two above all others our thanks are due for thenconsistency and devotion. The Red Cross Record, a monthly paper, will shortly be on sale at the shop or through the Secretary. Outlying district secretaries should endeavour to get their members to take it in. The cost is only 3d months. It is rumoured that another Red Cross afternoon is soon to be held, with similar diverse attractions to the ones recently held. Mrs Potatau Hoani Matenga, of Mat aroa Road, brought to our treasurer the sum of over £2O as the result of a housewarming held at her new residence quite recently. Kapai te Maoris.
