VANISHED MILLIONS.
A RECLUSE’S FOLLY. WASHINGTON. August 26. An inquiry held at Chicago regarding the vanished millions owned by Edward Morrison, an aged recluse, revealed that he had a large packet of 1.0.U.’s representing 150,000 dollars, the majority signed by women and other habitues of the under-world. Counsel declared that during 20 years Morrison was victimised to the extent of over a million dollars.

A movement is afoot to call a conference •of labour unions on September 4th to discuss the conscription issue.
