HOSPITAL BOARD.

The W'anganui Hospital Board met last week, when there were present: Messrs T. H. Rattle (chairman), Bas sett, McGregor, lline, Goldfinch, Fletcher, Lethbridge, Dr Sherman and Mesdamcs Comyns and Siddells. Misses V. H. Barr (Patea) and Eva. Cheek (Gravetown) were added to the list of probationer nurses. An account submitted by Dr. McDiarmid for treatment of a patient at Taihape was passed for payment. It was decided to support the Auck land and Otago Hospital Boards in objecting to proposed new clauses in the Nurses' Registration Act. It was agreed to pay £lO towards the cost of a brick dividing wall between the Board's and Dr Wall's property.

If Avas decided to spend up to £lO on the nucleus of a library for Hie nurses' home.

It was resolved to obtain an estimate of the. cost of additional accommodation for infectious diseases cases at the Taihape Hospital. "Mrs Sidrtells and Mr Hiiie were appointed the visiting committee for the month.
