{Received 8.50.). TOKIO, August 1(5. Most sensational details are involved in the Cheugchiatung affair. Chinese soldiers assaulted a Japanese, whereupon the only Japanese policeman in Chengehiatung went to the barracks and remonstrated. He was shot at and killed by a Chinese soldier. Subsequently a squad of Japanese troops approached the barracks, when the Chinese tired, wounding seventeen. Hewspapers assert that Chinese mobs are threatening a hundred Japanese residents in Chengehiatung.
