SCOTTISH LICENSING QUESTION.
STATE PURCHASE URGED. LONDON, July 14, A Liquor Trade Committee in Scotland was appointed to enquire into the possibility of State Purchase. It does not recommend the purchase of Scottish distilleries,-but supports the abolition of grocers' licenses; hotels and inns mainly depending upon the sale of drink should not be purchased.
