CLEARING SALE REPORT.
Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the clearing sale hold on account of Messrs Gray Bros', at Upper Tutsanui. on Thursday. There was an exceptionally large attendance of buyers from all parts and the sale went with a good swing from the start. Everything offered was sold under the hammer, at highly satisfactory prices. The following are some of the prices realised:—lo4o 2-tooth to 4-tooth ewes r.w. S.D rams 36s to 3(5s Id, 129 2-tooth to 4rtooth ewes with Corridale rams 35s 3d, 130 4-year ewes with S.D. rams 2Ss (id, 330 ewe hoggets 29s Id, 8.F.. hoggets 20s 3d to 22s (id, medium mixed hoggets 19s to 21s, cull (ditto) 12s (id to 14s Gd, 3-year steers £l3 os, fat bullocks £2l 10s, yearling heifers £4 ss, dairy cows £S to £ll 2s (id. Horses: —Draught geldings £3l, £33, £42 10s, £43 10s, £46, aged (ditto) £l7, £18; to £29; draught mares £27, £34 10s, £47; 2.year filly £lB. Hacks and harness horses £5 to £ls.
The farm implements and sundries; including grain and seeds, etc., all found purchasers at good prices. The shearing plant made £306.
