THE FAVONIAN CRIME. LONDON, August 12. The loolf-out man on the Favonian, which was submarined, has reached London. He says the vessel was shelled without warning. The ship stopped and the crew took to the boat. The submarine sank the Favonian. An Italian, passenger steamer appeared; and the submarine sank her; keeping up the lire while lowering the boats. Several, including a woman, were killed, A third steamer was sunk. The survivors, in three boats, made for Marseilles.
