RED CROSS NOTES.

ORDINARY MONTHLY MEETING. The Taihape Executive Committee met last Thursday, it being their ordin ary monthly meeting. It was decided to distribute sixty copies monthly of the "Red Cros s Kecord," a new publication edited at Christchurci. The schedule of the Constitution of the Incorporated N.Z. Red Cross Society was read by the chairman, and it was decided to hold a general meeting on Thursday, August 17 to go into the matter of linking up with the incorporated body. The Rev W. F. Stent wa s elected hon. secretary in place of Mr Miller, who has resigned. Mr Dennison was elected assistant secretary.

Mr s Shute wrote resigning from any committee of which she was a member, and her resignation was reluctantly accepted. It was decided to place on record the good work done by Mrs Shute in the past, and regretting that sickness of a serious character had brought a temporary ending to such work. £l5O was voted to the London committee, and various accounts were passed for payment. FOUND DEAD N BED. A MAN AT PAHIATUA. PAHIATUA, This day. Robert Ade bricklayer, elderly, believed to be a widower, with a family in England, was found dead in bed at Baxter's boarding house yesteraay afternoon. He had been unwell lately, and retired to big room after dinner. A post mortem is to be held.
