THE TE KUITI MURDER.
ACCUSED MAN IN AUCKLAND. TO STAND TRIAL NEXT WEEK. The Raratongan native, Toita Kainuku, a strongly-built young man of 23 years, who wa s arrested in the Te Kuiti district in connection with the shooting of the farm hand, Kennetn Livingstone, and the wounding of C. S. Macfarlane, manager of a sheep station near Mangapehi, was brought "before Mr F. V. Fraser, S.M., at tile Auckland Police Court, charged that on Friday week, the date of the shooting, he broke and entered the' dwelling of Macfarlane, at Tiroa, near Te Kuiti, and stole a pocket book containing £4 12/6. The prisoner, who showed no sign by his manner of being mentally 'abnormal, was remanded to appear at Te Kuiti next Monday.
