SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATES
NOT HEADY
The House met at 10 o'clock this t
morninjg. The War Regulations Act was received by Governor's Message with aft. 'amendment, which Mr Herdman explained, was a technical one. The
amendent was agreed to. In reply to Mr Isitt, the Premier said in the matter of a refusal by !i school committee of the use of buildings for religious purposes, it had not yet been considered by Cabinet. In reply to Mr Anstey, the Premier said Clause 34 of the Military Service Act, dealing with religious objectors!, would be put into force as soon as the Government could make necessary arrangements.
The Premier announced that owing to delay in the preparation of the supplementary estimates, the Government wa s not ready, 'and it was adjourned till noon.
