News has just been received by hh? mother, in Dunedin, that ft d ward (Hobo) Healey lias been woufdod in France. Hobo Healey enlisted from Taihape, having lived here or at Wainui for some two or three years. He was a footballer, having played for the Pirates Club. He left New Zealand with the first contingent of Lord Liverpool’s Own, and has seen hard fighting, both at Gallipoli and in France fir Healey is well and favourably known throughout this district, and was particularly popular among his football friends. He is a nephew of Mr Richard Healey, of the Railway Buffet Private Hotel, and has a sister resident at Waimate, in the South Island.
