Play in the weekly competitions of the Taihape Golf Club continues to be of a high order, and speaks well for the favourable condition of the links and the enthusiasm of the players. Good handicapping and good form have made the results vey close, but the last, two games have proved a walk-over eaehti me, for one of the Club’s young players. In the “Bray” Stroke Competition, Hesketh put up a brilliant first round of 42,andfinished up the game with six a nett score of 66. This was a fine round, and places Hesketh up with Best on the handicap list.
