COMMENT BY SIR ROBT. STOUT.

_. ....;-■- r - fM , -*-|T:»a«« j WELLINGTON, July 24. During proceedings at the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, said that unfortunately in our community there seemed to be people who think it no shame to get drunk. This no doubt accountd for the large number of soldiers who are to be seen in a drunken state in tne streets, and could easily be stopped by the Defence authorities declaring the hotels to be out of bounds. If they did this there would be something done to stop the great amount of drunkenness amongst young men in this city.
