SYDNEY CELEBRATIONS.
SYDNEY, July 14. Similarly with other parts of the Empire, the Commonwealth seized- the opportunity of thc French Fete Day.; to honour om - Ally. A great display oi th e Tricolor was the principal feature. Requiem Masses were sung for. the French soldiers. Big military parades were held, also a meeting in the Town Hall, where a resolution was carried appreciative of France’s valour. ■At- an official luncheon the speakers eulogised France. The Red Cross Society donated £IOOO to the French Society I'he wool-brokers and the Sydney Exchange •subscribed £3244, which was presented to the French League of Mercy. *
