RUSSIANS NEARING KOVEL.

We have completed occupation of Bukovina, and have announced a civil organisation ..The entire regions is provisioned with Enssian cereals. ,- Nandean, the Journal's Petrograd correspondent, says that operations in the Chartorysk salient culminated in, a briliant victory, placing the long-eon: tested important positions in the hands of the Eussians The latter are continuing their impeuous drive towards Kovel. They occupy a position equidistant between Stokod and the Styr valleys, across the Chartorysk-Kovel railway. On this position they are overlapping the Lutsk salient. ;

The Germans had expected to stem the Russian advance, but they were caught in the ank and rear, as well as outpointed. Tlie Russians between Sokal and Kolki literally fell upon the Germans, and the breach is wedening hourly. The road to Kovel is open northwards, and the battle ' continues . with a steadily harvest of prisoners.
