In the House of Commons, the R'ght Hon. H H. Asquith announced that owing to war needs the Government proposed the postponement of a'l holidays. The Allied offensive, which i.«J only beginning, required a great and continuous supply of munitions, of which there were ample at present, but the daily consumption wa.s enormous-.
