The Duke of Somerset, speaking m the House of Lords, said letters from officers in Mesopotamia disclosed :< disgraceful state of affairs. He wck informed that a thousand wounded men were sent down on one boat rn charge of one officer and one order!« The wounds were not dressed until the men arrived at Bombay.
