Commencing to-night there will be one of the fost successful productions pv> seutod at the Three Stars Theatre by the Famous Players’ Co. under Husky’s direction. Th e Famous Playens’ Go. is noted for the high quality of its films and certainly all of America’s best artists are in these studios, including the two most talented and popular actresses of to-day, Mary Pickford and Marguerite Clark. ‘ ‘ Thje |ord and Marguerite Clark, who appears |n “The Crucible” to-night. “The Crucible,” as perhaps the name implies, is the testing and purifying and ennobling of a young woman in the crucible or testing pot of life in a big city—tried in the fire of temptation, heated by flames of evil companions—until she emerges by the sheer strength of character and brightness and buoyancy of s pirit into the pure metal without dross.
