The "Times" eorresondent at headquarters states tehat at one point only the Germans allowed the British to recover their wounded; most Germans bayonetted and shot the Abounded. They played machine-guns over the fields where dead and wounded were lying together,, to make sure they would not iiglit again Evidence comes from too many quarters to admit of any doubt about this..
