Count Hollweg states that before peace is concluded be lias three objects: (1) He desires the closing of the doors of attack now open at Germany’s heart from hrategic positions in Belgium. France and the East: (2) he aims at push’ng Russia behind the rivers. the creation of Poland as a buffer State, md the consequent shortening of the lusso-German frotnier; () be reruires that assurances shall b« given to Germany that her trade with the world can develop unhindered.
