PARIS, July 5
A communique says: The French sector north of the Somme was calm. South of the Somme, in spite of bad weather, we extended our positions towards the east and south and captured woods between Assevillers and Barlcux f also the village of Bedleyensanterre.
We captured Estrees except an isolated position which the Germans are still holding. We prisonered-500 at Estrees alone
