WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALE. Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report: — In conjunction with our monthly wool, skin and hide sale we held the first crutching sale of the season, when we submitted a large entry to a good attendance of buyers. The crutchings were mostly seedy or touched with seed, but any bright, clean lots sold well As can be seen by the prices quoted below, our best price was loild, which we believe to be the highest price crutchings have been sold at this season. We offered 3650 sheepskins, which sold readily at an advance on last sale rates. Hides were keenly competed for at an advance on last rates, our top price for ox hides being HJd, and for cows I.oad. In sympathy with London market, tallow was up at least £3 per ton. Quotations: — W 001.—212 bales and bags offered. Crutchings, best 12d to 13fd, medium lid to 12d, seedy and inferior 7d to lid; limbs', 13 Id; crossbred, lid to 12:;d; dead, lid to 12ld- black, 103 d: bellies, 1011: pieces, 8M; locks. 5d to 7Jd. Sheepskins.—Crossbred, fine llfd, medium to coarse 10A to Hid, coarse lOd to 10:';d, dead and damaged 9d to 9*d; dead hoggets', 9*d; lambs', lid; damp and salted skins at per piece, crossbred Ss (5d to 10s, lighter lines from <ss to Ss, lambs' ss, shorn lambs' 3s. Hides. —525 offered. Medium ox lid to Hid, light lOd to lid; cow, heavy 10id, medium lOld, light, 10Jd; cows',, cut 9d, cut and slippy 7d; bulls', 7d; heifers 7 and steers', lOd; horse hides, 9s to 12s each. Calfskins. —We offered 27(i. Our best line made 5s Id each; lighter ?ines, 11-4 d per lb; cows', cut 91d, cut and s'Jlppy 7d. yearlings' 9d to lOd. Sundries.—Tallow in tins, 27s (id per cwt.; rough fat, 16s per cwt.; rabbit skins, ll- 4 d per lb; horse hair, Is Gd; cow tails, Is 3d per doz«a. Our next sale will be held on July 23 and will be the second crutching sale of the season.
