His defences are largely increasing his resistance; nevertheless, we progressed considerably during the whole of Tuesday. We took trenches near Malgazunga, and captured position at Monte Gaimondo, northwards of Fusine and Monte Caviojo, and occupied the southern edge of the Asiago plateau, also the Assa valley. We reached the slopes of Mounts Rasta, Interrotto and Mosiagh, which the enemy's rearguard strongly held. We carried the position at Mount Colombara, further north, and began the aproach on Calbiarara valley, capturing the upper portion, all but some redoubts and trenches in the . neighbourhood of Freikoefel. We took 363 prisoners at Isonzo.
