LONDON, June 27, The steamers purchased are the Strathendrick, Strathavon, StrathStrathford, Strathleven, Strath'dee Strathspey, Strathgarry, Strathberg, Strathesk, Ardangorm, Ardaninohr, Vermont, Dalton Hall, Kirk Oswald. The transaction caused a flutter in the market. Many of the purchased vessels are now in the Government employ. They will be sent to Australia as they become availableTHE COMMONWEALTH WAY. WATCHED WITH INTEREST. Received June 28, 5.45 a.m. London, June 27. - The Pall Mall Gazette says that the Commonwealth has solved the shipping problem in a bold and original manner. The progress of th e new line will be watched, with unusual interest.
