Sir Douglas Haig reports: The enemy exploded an exceptionally large mine at Givenchy, just north of La Bnssce canal, on Thursday morning. 1 and entered our trenches on a narrow front. The Welsh Fusiliers, by n very gallant successful counterattack, completely drove out the onovny’ inflicting heavy losses. Our casualties, considering the size of the mine, were comparatively light.
