At a meeting o; the Dominion council of the Royal Life Saving society, the New Plymouth Surf Club wrote appealing against the action o! the Wanganui head centre in nor granting the diploma award to .Mr. Christianson. It was decided to uphold the head centre's decision that the candidate was not Qualified, and ask that he be given an early opportunity of being examined. It was decided in favour of the formation of a head centre at New .Plymouth to be called! the North Taranaki head centre, owing to the distance from Wanganui and the record number of awards being game i since P. A. Schwartz, a diploma holdr. had been appointed caretaker or he municipal baths there
