MILITARY SERVICE BILL.

WELLINGTON, Ji-ne 21

It is understood that an amendment will be inserted in the Military Service Bill providing for the exemption of religious objectors, provided that they agree to perform non-military duties a: rates of pay to be prescribed by the Government. No exemption will be provided for conscientious objectors apart from religious objectors. Provision probably will also be made for the appointment of a National Appeal Board.
