SUBSTANTIAL SURPLUS FOR 18th REINFORCEMENTS. ALL SHORTAGES ON PRECIOUS DRAFTS MADE UP. WELLINGTON, June 20. The 19th Reinforcements, which will bo mobilised for training next week, is now complete, and in addition all previous shortages have-been made'good. The official figures of the registrations for the infantry as at date of Friday, the 16th. inst,, all other arms of the service being full, are as follows: Group No. 1 (Auckland City), surplus 152. Group No. 2 (Paeroa), shortage 47. Group No. 3 (Whangarei), shortage 16. Group No. 4 (Hamilton), full. Total surplus for Auckland Military District, 89. Group No. 5 (Wellington City), surplus 41. Group No. 6 (Pelmarston North), surplus 38.

Group No. 7 (Napier), shortage 43. Group No. 7A (Mastertou), surplus 23.

Group No. 8 (Haw-era), shortage 1. Total surplus for Wellington Military District, 58.

Group No. 9 (Christchurch City), shortage 5. Group No. 10 (Timaru), surplus 42. Group No. 11 (Kaiapoi). surplus 20. Group No. 11A (Greymmrth), shortage 14.

Group No. 12 (Nelson), surplus 4. Total surplus for Canterbury Military District, 47.

Group No. 13 (Dunedin City . shortivm 22.

Tit ore was existing at the same date a shortage on previous drafts owing to wastage in camp of S 3, but the surplus enlistments shown above for the 18th Reinforcements now converts this into an excess' of 88. W. F. MASSEY, Chairman.
