The King inspected the whole of the Grand Fleet, and v[sited wounded naval men In Scottish hospitals. The Press Bureau reports that the King, addressing a parade of representative units of the Grand Fleet, •.aid: You waited nearly two years rith most exemplary patience for •die opportunity of meeting and enraging the enemy’s fleet. I can well ’.nderstand how trying this period has been, how great the 'relief when on anew on the d Ist that the enemy 'ad been sighted. Unfavourable iveatber conditions and approaching larkncss prevented the complete remit you all expected ( but you did all icssiLle under the circumstances, foil drove the enemy into their harbours and inflicted most severe loss, adding another page to the glorious rsclitions of the British Navy.
