VIRULENT FORM OF DIPTHERIA A SOLDIER'S FUNERAL. DANNEVIRKE, This day. Two infants died in this district yesterday, one at Terehunga of acute infantile paralysis, the other at Danneirke, of a vhmlent form of diphtheria. A military funeral was held here yesterday when Pvt. James S. Ryan, who died at Feathcrston camp on Sunday, was buried. A firing party, pall bearers, and military band were present from the camp. RAILWAYMEN'S WAR BONUS WELLINGTON, lune 13 Owing to a Departmental difficulty, payment of war bonus of Is per day to railwaymen of the second division has been postponed. It is to take effect as from Ist April. It is possible the first payment will be made next Friday fortnight.
