The Christchurch Tramway Board today decided that the wearing of armlets issued by the military authorities to returned solders and others in its employ, be made compulsory.. Forty-three employees of tire Board, who are on active service, are in receipt of pay from the 1 board, the subsidies to the military pay I of its employees amounting to £SO Is lOd I per fortnight.
