THE FISCAL QUESTION.
A NEW TARIFF SUGGESTED. LONDON, May 27. A special committee of the London Chamber of Commerce suggests the following tentative tariff : Present Allies, a minimum of ten per cent., down to free; friendly neutrals, general tariff of 20 per cent, down to 21 per cent; other neutrals 20 per cent, phus a surtax equal to the preference a maximum of 30 per cent, down to 5 per cent. The probable revenue is about 741 millions.
