OBITUARY.
MRS JOHN ELLSON. Deep sorrow was foJt in many homes when it became known that Mrs John Ellson (nee Miss McMeckin) of Papakai Road, Taihapo, had passed away* Mrs Ellson began teaching in'Waverlfr and afterwards in the Besconsfield, Donally and Sandon Black. In a mheso centres she was active in everJßgoofl work. About five years ago she \vas married to Mr John Ellson and came tolive in this district. Most of that time? she has been a great, sufferer, but she bore all with Christian fortitude. Though not able to get out to do work in the town ?i she*did what she could in her home. Of late no less than six of our soldiers found a home and a much needed rest with Mr and Mrs Ellson, people who were utter strangers werewelconted just because they were strangers. It would be well for our lads if more homes such as that of our late friend wore thrown open to the stranger. Our deepest sympathy is with Mr Ellson in his great loss. The funeral will Heave their residence, Papakai Road, at 1.30 on Saturday, for the Taihape Cemetery. Mr EU«on wishes to thank Dr Sinclair and Dr McDairmid for their kindness and attention '.by which her last hours were so much eased.
